Hiring the Scout Hut
Hire our HQ building on Grove Lane for all your social and special event needs and support the Scout Group.
We are proud of our historic building which has served the young people of our community for over 67 years. Currently undergoing extensive upgrades to decoration and facilities to make it more usable for the community, it supports and develops over 160 young members on 4 evenings a week across 7 group sections up to the age of 14. We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteers and rely on generating additional income to keep providing this valuable resource for the young people of the village.
Suitable for up to 80 people with 80m2 of floor space our facilities include :
- Free Wi-Fi
- Seating and tables, plus all round bench seating
- On site off road parking
- Wide disabled access entrance door and accessible toilet
- Fully equipped kitchen – cookers, microwave, fridge, hot water
- Garden area with lighting
- Separate meeting room for up to 15 people
- Projector screens
- Managed access, one of our volunteers will assist you on the day
Our team of maintenance volunteers are usually in the building on Thursday mornings, feel free to pop in for a cuppa and see what we have to offer.
