Volunteer
Volunteering for Scouting is one of the most fun, rewarding and positive things you can ever do. You can give as much or a little time you like and we will match opportunities that fit your skills and time available. If you would like to have fun and make friends, earn professional qualifications and make a real difference to the lives of young people please contact us.
‘For anyone thinking of becoming a Scout, I say, go for it, come and join the big adventure.’
Bear Grylls, UK Chief Scout
Do you enjoy working with children? Are you looking for a rewarding fun hobby changing young peoples lives? Do you enjoy new challenges? Could you spare a few hours a week helping the young people of your community?
The demand for our young people’s places is growing with the ever increasing village population and we are always looking for ways to expand our available places which means we always need more volunteers. A few hours a week is all it takes, full training and guidance is provided and you will be supported by our friendly existing volunteers.
No qualifications are needed, just a passiong for sparking young people’s curiosity, passing on your skills and making a positive difference to their lives. We need a balanced team of adult volunteers to run each section with crafts, activities, games, team work and life skills.
Maybe you are an ex Scout Group member who enjoyed your time with us, can you help us by giving a bit back and teach the skills you learnt here to the next generation?
Come and make a difference and have fun learning new skills and developing yourself at the same time.
Get in youch and see how the Scout Association inspires over 460,000 young people every week to have fun, learn life skills, and achieve their goals. If you think you can help, we would love to hear from you.
